Enabling collective intelligence through AI
We can create so much when in sync.
And even with such silly example as the Kiffness band (watch it, it will make you feel good) you can see a true power of collaboration and people being in sync; from something so trivial as agitated cat’s noises, by adding layers on top, a group of people from over the world created quite an impressive symphonic mashup (just look at the drums + electric guitar entrance at 2:37!).
I’ve always been fascinated what people can achieve when they work in symbiosis building on top of each other’s work, undisturbed by silos and complex red tape processes.
These companies which manage to empower their employees with seamless access to knowledge, are leading on the market; they can innovate faster, respond to ever changing environment, transfer know-how, build IP and other most valuable assets. You can have very smart individuals working on different components in isolation, but if you don’t have coordination and visibility, it’s really hard to make any headway.
Yet, the fact remains that most large organisations are like these badly oiled machines which function with difficulty in an ongoing structural chaos. Their biggest life support is often their patented technology in a hard to disrupt market, and a competition which is not able to match reputation and resources in terms of size (a.ka. this saying “Nobody got fired for hiring IBM” 🤷🏼♀️). That’s not sustainable.
Companies will keep failing as long as they’ll be trying to fit the way how humans work and reason into how machines do (structure).
Imagine what they could achieve if they enabled their biggest asset — people — to create value by benefiting and sharing the internal knowledge freely (permissions abiding). This would have a great effect on all business areas; from improving customer service, R&D to sales. Data visibility is everything.
At Untrite, we envision tech enabling such collective human intelligence for seamless business operations.
Yes, lots of companies tried to tackle this problem in the past, but none managed to successfully. Now it’s possible thanks to AI and NLP — a type of AI that helps machines understand human language.
AI can enhance our collective intelligence. This includes helping make better sense of data, finding better ways to coordinate decision making, helping us overcome our inherent biases and highlighting unusual solutions that are often overlooked, because it’s simply impossible for a human to know all what’s out there in the organisation.
